Re: VIDA subscription lookup needed
I was able to call the dealership on Labor Day and get the info I needed. From the Product ID plate, rear springs marked 74 are variant code 7829, part number 31300138. This is relevant to P3 2013 XC70 and not P80. Mods could move this thread to that forum. Thanks.

Re: Sales, discounts, and obscure parts direct from Volvo
Nice find. I got 23.6% off a pair of rear springs. That's the 15% sale stacked on flat 10% store discount. I had to check a few dealerships (easily online) because my "local" one wasn't offering either discount. Thankfully one in another state had the deals. I ultimately saved $82 so it's ...

Re: Sales, discounts, and obscure parts direct from Volvo
It's time for Black Friday / Cyber Monday discounts on OEM parts at usparts.volvocars.com. For Black Friday, they're offering 15% off parts. In previous years, they have increased this to 20% at the stroke of midnight into Cyber Monday. See if your local dealership, or any one which offers free ship...

Re: Rebuilding and painting my calipers
@FireFox31 can I bother you for an update now that they’ve seen New England winter? Especially curious how the Cerakoted pistons have held up. You know... I have never used them. I paid like $1000 for all new (rebuilt) Volvo calipers and like $1000 to have them powder coated (along with dust shield...

Re: Blipshift Volvo T-shirts available now
Blipshift is currently offering The Swedish Job Volvo shirt until 4/6/25. They've offered it before but no telling when they'll do so again, so get it if you want it. I did, last time.

Re: FCP Euro coupon code for 5% off
This is not a sale but a warning. Tariffs threaten to increase prices on goods by double digit percentages. Consider buying parts now before prices rise. I'm already seeing FCP prices up 5-10% since my last orders in 12/2023 and 3/2024. In 2022, I watched inflation drive up the price of parts at FCP...

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
Very nice white 1998 V70 manual with top trim level in Indiana. I've never seen wood grain on the door cards before. Looks like someone really loved this car.
Pics to prove that door card woodgrain exists:

Re: 99 S70 NA - Cost to replace cam seals and valve gasket?
6 hours for the cylinder head, but is the valve cover a lot easier and less involved? How long might that remove / reseal job take?
Where are the cam seals? I thought they were either behind the timing belt gears/pulleys, or on the opposite end of that shaft and rather accessible.

Re: Sales, discounts, and obscure parts direct from Volvo
Independence Day sales are coming. Get your shopping lists ready and hold off on buying until this weekend. Both FCP and usparts.volvocars.com should have their second best sales of the year (after Cyber Monday).

Re: Alternative exhaust manifold studs and nuts
Interesting, thanks. Amazon says those are 35 mm long. I found one post on MVS listing the studs as M8 x 1.25 x 50 mm long . The FCP picture shows them with ~38 threads, thus 50 mm. McMaster-Carr has 18-8 stainless for $3.22 each, or zinc-plated low strength steel for $8.50 for five. They also have ...
