Re: Heater Core Hose Leak
Just wanted to update this topic with the Part Numbers Important to look at the Fitment section because there are several variations for the car model, engine, years etc I can't find the part number for the S60R and V60R (for the R engine, may want to call the Volvo dealer) Each hose is different: l...

Re: power steering
The high pressure hose is a pain to remove from the engine bay, not to mention it is surely stuck at the rack. I would leave it there. On 2001-2003 these fail at some point along the rack where they rust badly. However, looks like you live in CA so rust shouldn't be a problem - I would just spray it...

Re: Climate control/fan not turning off
I would go in two steps: replace the blower regulator first (or the whole blower if you can get a used one in nice condition, like on Ebay from a Florida car). Then see how it goes and eventually replace the small cabin thermistor. Some people recommend to have the key in POS II whenever the battery...

Re: Where is my coolant drain plug on XC90 ? V8
Need to undo this plug carefully - some owners tighten these too much and they are difficult to undo next time and may also break. I talk a little about this small plastic plug at 6:00 here www.youtube.com/watch?v=69ymGTqHxRw Basically, when screwing it back in place, you can just tighten it by hand...

Re: XC70 2004 stolen, 240 totaled.. what now?
I like the looks of the XC60 and surely is an improvement, but I would be afraid about the potential issues. There have been widespread problems with windshield leaking over electronics, cabin blower going bad costing a fortune (located in the middle of the dash), surely other annoyances Perhaps not...

Re: '06 V70 upper shock mounts
I don't think it's needed for the rear ones. Rarely heard of them going bad (the front ones however do). A few tips if you need www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7gsgr9YWy4

The belt does not stretch, but as above, might have been a timing issue

Re: B5254T2 Engine (2.5T) Catalytic Converters All Going?
The cat on these car is of very high quality (and really expensive to replace, aftermarket are a hit or miss and may not pass some inspections). Aftermaket O2 sensors can also throw a cell Indeed when an ignition coil fails (engine starts missing and shaking a little), we need to stop driving or at ...

Who doesn't like Limo ?
A little off topic this being an S80, but still similar to the S60/V70 This was the Dutch Royal family car (well, actually it was the duchess car), a modified S80 with a base 2.4 non turbo engine - in Europe the S80 was sold with this 168hp engine, surely not that powerful for such a car. Be sure to...
