Re: Right front wheel laced w/ fluids
The service manager, finally getting involved simply jumped in the car, took it up to speed and dismissed any noise as either wind or tire noise. There are dealers who don't care, while others do. If there's a second one not far, I'd pay him a visit. Bearing spraying grease is uncommon but not impo...

Re: My CEL saga - any ideas/help appreciated
Welcome. It is a good idea to ask on a forum. I would strongly advise, from similar experiences, that next time you are looking to replace a part, to buy a used one off Ebay. The worst thing to do - and I think you've unfortunately learned it the hard way - is to listen to mechanics who are only 'gu...

Re: XC70 Immobilizer, won't start, not antenna/CEM/ECM
When you brought the car to the shop, was the engine still running? Have you tried with a second key? Hope they didn't "swap" your differential module (it's actually called Differential Electronic Module DEM). That is a $1500 part that is faulty on many earlier AWD. Is that garage place sh...

Re: Alignment after shocks
You should not need it, unless the shocks will change the ride height or if the control arms are worn.
You may want to look to the spring seats as well (go only with Sachs)

Dayco timing belt fail
Very quick video about my amazing experience with the Dayco timing belt kit. Ended replacing all components after a very short period, fortunately I didn't install at that time a water pump from them. This was back when I was new to Volvo and didn't know which brands to choose Make your own conclusi...

Re: 06 XC70 rear rotor minimum thickness
If Brembo says 10mm min for the rotor, I would take that as a reference, at least when it comes to quality rotors, which the OEM is. Maybe for a cheaper rotor with softer metal I would replace sooner, but on a quality part I wouldn't be worried, even at 10mm they still have a safe margin on them.

Re: CEL P0234 and P2097
To check for coils/spark plugs, just undo the injector connectors one by one, pretty much like this (or the coils, but injectors are easier to unplug)

Re: 2008 xc90 AC issue
The drain will come out from the box keeping the evaporator, it looks like a black rubber hose coming from a white plastic box located in under the dash right in the middle of it. I think the hose would run on driver's side of this box, look with a flash light
