Re: 850 - 2.0 Engine (LH ECU) replaced with 2.5 (B52524FS) - Is ECU replacement necessary as well?
113 is fuel trim at low or high rpm. Because the problems go away when you erase the codes and the computer has to relearn the driving habits, I will assume everything is connected and working properly. With the 'new' 2.5L engine, I would try the M4.4 computer. Just make sure the battery is unplugge...

Re: Key removed, but V70XC thinks key is still in ignition
I would suspect the electrical portion of the switch is toast. Easy to replace once the plastic is removed from the steering column.

Re: 96 Volvo 850 Climate Control Blinking Lights
You don't need a tool. You need 3 wires. 18 gauge will do. And 3 large paper clips, along with a test light. Use the diagram at the top of this link viewtopic.php?f=37&t=60660
but instead of port 3, use port 6 for the ECC.

Re: '96 850 Heating and AC Problems
Find a new unit at a junk yard or pick&pull. It might be possible to tear your unit apart and repair the switch, but that would take quite some time and I am sure you want heat tomorrow.

Re: 1996 850 GLT Split Front Seat Covers, OPTIONS.
I transplanted a 1998 driver's seat into my 1995. Both were power seats with heaters. My local pick&pull yard charges less than $25 for a complete seat. The 1999-2000 seat skins fit, but those years have electrical seat air bags and the entire seat swap is not compatible with the earlier cars. T...

Re: changing lower trans cool line seals
Look closely at the bottom line, you will find that it is downhill to the sump. There should be very little ATF in the radiator with a cold engine. Once you start the engine, there will be close to a quart of ATF in the radiator and lines, I do not know how fast the ATF will flow back into the sump ...

Re: 850 NA cylinder head interchange - what will work?
OEM head gasket only. If the Volvo seals are too expensive, then go with Reinz. If they fail in 100K miles, then replacing them is not a head removal option.

Re: 2000 T5 no start , starting after sitting overnight...
The ECT sensor will not keep the engine from starting. An overheated fuel pump doesn't care if the relay is jumped, listen for the pump priming when you switch the key to posII.
There is just not enough data in your post to make an educated guess.

Re: Using the engine to dry the carpet after heater core replacement.
If you lived in Arizona, it would dry in a day. But in FL, where the humidity is 90-95%, it will take forever to dry. The rear carpet will also have to be removed, washed and dried. But I would wait until after the rain stops, in about 4 days. Meanwhile, get a full tank of gas, pack up the family an...

Re: 850 Odometer Fix
Been there, done that. I prefer lifting the entire dash so I don't have a problem with the fitting at the right side of the center console. There are a lot of steps, but none very difficult. You will need some small torx tools, a T10 and T8? First, get the correct odometer reading from the instrumen...
