If you must insist in using concrete blocks as supports, place a piece of wood between the concrete and the car so there is not a point load on the concrete. Neil. I did have 1 jack stand on both sides of the car...until I needed to support the driver side more so I could inspect the gas tank and d...

Re: 850 starts burning lots of oil from nowhere?

abscate wrote: 07 Feb 2021, 06:14 Yeeks, $400 for a roof rack.

I made mine from demo lumber I charged $40 to haul away...used it to haul the last kid to Bryn Mawr and back a few years ago.
I would let my kid ride inside, but I'm sure you had good reasons.

Re: What makes a Volvo RWD system unique from most other rear wheel drive cars??

My input (having never owned a 9 series Volvo). Rear wheel drive is not bad if the weight is biased over the rear wheels. My old 240 series wagons did well in ice and snow if they had a little weight added to the rear. With chains on the rear, they would go until the snow in front was too deep to dr...

Re: Will a 2002 V70 X/C left rear door fit a 2001 V70 T5?

My thoughts: If you can get it loose, get the hinge also. You are not likely to pay any more and you will have spare hinges.
