Re: '95 854T What to save?

You can make a couple hundred bucks parting out, but consider donating it to a local church group for someone who needs cheap wheels to make a big difference in their life, right now. There are a lot of them out there. My thoughts are the same. Perhaps it will not get the needed maintenance, but it...

Re: 02 V70 2.4T - Screws that hold the Charge Air Pipe in place?

I suggest going to someplace like Ace Hardware and buying several metric screws you think might fit. I do know they are different sizes for the two places. Keep in mind metric screws have about four thread pitches. The head size and type don't matter. You might even be able to return screws you don'...

I have color coded the results. This data is for June 12, 2020. Results may change over time. First...

Re: Belt fail timing jump

I would try to source parts from IPD or FCP Euro. If they do not have the parts you need, consider a Volvo dealer who discounts parts. There are several online. I would not want to do all the work and find I had purchased inferior parts at a cheap price.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

You can also get creative and do metal embossing by making a male die and a rubber pad to press the die against. 20 tons should work for patterns a couple inches across. I saw a car magazine article where they made a jeep logo this way.

Re: ...try, try again.

Mine is same year, similar mileage but not as sharp. Buy it and enjoy it. All cars need some work.

Re: Changing power steering pressure hose, 2004 XC 90

On 2001 V70 T5 (FWD only), I was able to change the hose without lowering the subframe. It is difficult but possible. Your situation may be different for the 2004 XC90.

Re: 91 240 output shaft seal removal

Image below shows the cross section of a typical oil seal. Yours may be different. The round thing in the center is the gaiter spring that holds the oil seal in firm contact to the shaft. This side should go toward the oil (inside of housing). The smaller lip on the left side is the dirt shield. It ...

Re: ISO post that specifies the mods done to the Volvo 850 wagon for races

anyone know where to find a pic of the engine bay layout. I know how the subframe looks on a normal 850 and x70. I'd like to find out how they set the engine that far back. perhaps elongated engine mounts? I have read somewhere (??) that the engine move required fender well cutting and reforming of...
