Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I just finished 'winterizing' the V70R. Almost broke my heart to do an oil and filter change after maybe 2000km over 2 years. I was going to change it last winter but by then the car had only done about 500km on the last oil change. The oil that came out was still looking fresh. I overly worry that...

Re: Swapped passenger doors and only interior lights work
I tried to replace the passenger side door switch of a 2001 V70 base on a 2001 V70 T5. It would not work.

Re: Unicorn Volvos (future megathread)
I still have a purple 1983 245 I purchased about 2001. Original color but resprayed with paint and clear before I bought it. It now has about 250K miles and is 'resting' until I get it running again.

Re: Need help finding this plastic window “hoop” fork piece - 1991 780/940/760
240 Volvos had a similar part, but that looks longer. Check this link for possible shipping method and source https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=105901 Alternate repair possibility: If the width of the fork is the same as the 240 part, a pair of 240 fork halves might be glued t...

Re: Are P2 V70s really that expensive to maintain?
I can report on owning a 2001 V70 T5 with the high pressure turbo. It is fun to drive, room to haul lots of stuff, fast, comfortable, gets about 26 MPG at 70 MPH and 21 MPG around town. If you have tools and basic mechanic skills, with help from this web site you can do many repairs yourself. This g...

Re: FCP Euro coupon code for 5% off
I placed an order with FCP. A few of my items were now on sale that were not a couple weeks ago. A cam lock tool was reduced in price about 8% but not listed as on sale. AND life time replacement deal with free shipping. I decided to get a replacement right rear light assembly for my 1983 245. Mine ...

Re: Rear Facing Third Row Seatbelt Assembly Stuck P80 V70
I have messed with a couple of old seat belt retracters. It seems they have to be positioned in the same as installed position for the release to work. They also seem to collect enough dirt over years without use that they lock. But, I don't think you want to just blast them with lots of oil. Maybe ...
