RobertDIY - A Radiator removal and replacement WARNING
If you are anticipating working on your P80 and watching YouTube videos, here's a word of advice (one might even say a warning): Stick to videos by Robert Spinner (RobertDIY) and stay away from those posted by FCP Euro. The FCP Euro people are great guys, and I buy just about ALL my parts from them ...

Re: RobertDIY - A Radiator removal and replacement WARNING
Thanks for the support and comments. Although I don't watch a lot of other instructional videos, I can say this about my videos... I'm assuming you are not still stranded on I-80, Robert. I will eventually meet up with you after I finish moving to Ohio. Right now, I'm in PA swearing that all my too...

Re: 1998 S70 top trim
Regarding primer, primer is always a good idea for aluminum, however 180 grit sandpaper leaves quite a bit for the paint to grab onto. I have had older British cars with boots and bonnets and sometimes even doors made from aluminum, and it would be sheer folly not to use a primer on such a large, sm...

Re: P0442 - Minor Evap leak - ideas? 00 V70R
Neil, I had a persistent EVAP code, and literally the only rational and logical way to troubleshoot those things is with a smoke test. DIY Smoke Tester That Works
I built one of these using Vlasic pickle jar and a compact bicycle pump. It actually works, in case you you ever want to find a vacuum or evaporative emissions leak.

Re: P0442 - Minor Evap leak - ideas? 00 V70R
That is very useful. I will be pissed if it is anywhere at the rear as little of the evap system is accessible without dropping the whole rear subframe..................Been there and done that. Never want to do that again! Neil. It seems odd to me that Volvo had so many variations of things like t...

Re: '99 V70 Steering Wheel is sticky and wood scratched
I have not repaired a wheel like this, BUT I have repaired nicks in guitar finishes. One thing commonly used is a very thin super glue cyanoacrylates. You can build it up and polish it. When searching for repair products, imagine your steering wheel is a guitar with a nick in the finish. Before you ...

Re: Replacing All Engine Mounts What Order Would You Do?
One of my 14mm top bolts going into the block on the side pad mount was so rusted that I twisted the head off and I am in the process of using an Easy Out/ Bolt extractor. I was able to remove the other 14mm bolt and the the two 17mm that into the subframe but man... it wasn't easy. I just moved fr...
