You can pull fuse 26, that circuit is only for park assist.
I don't think the head unit relates to park assist.

Re: #($*@! brake hoses and flare nuts—ideas?
I have successfully replaced brake hoses on my 2001 V70 at about 190K miles. Mine did not have excessive corrosion on the parts. I used SK flare wrenches. They are thick and rigid. As I recall, one end of the connection is effectively locked from rotation by the bracket (the steel tube end I think)....

Re: #($*@! brake hoses and flare nuts—ideas?
* Try two pairs of vise grips. When I replaced all 4 lines on the 03 S80 T6 the fronts seemed straight forward while the rear had some space limitations making more work / time. The set for your car looks similar to the P2 S80. I think Eric The Car Guy is in the practice of cutting the hose and usin...

Re: Right rear under car clanging noise
Sounds like your zeroing in on it. Where exactly are you detecting this play? There is a hanger/carrier bearing about halfway between the ends of the driveshaft. It has rubber isolation surrounding it & it is normal to be able to move the driveshaft (some) up, down and side to side with the flex...

Re: Right rear under car clanging noise
You can drop the exh and let it rest on a milk crate, don't damage the flex pipe, it doesn't flex too much.

Re: I think I spoke too soon (alternator)
When you are dealing with primary wiring, battery, alternator, starters, yes-you need a new standard of clean on those high current carrying connections. Dremel is your friend there. Voltmeter is your diagnostic friend. With everything off, you don’t want to see even 0.1V difference between battery ...

Re: I think I spoke too soon (alternator)
The P2 does not use a battery temp sensor but does use ambient and does some computing for battery temp gain. The charging voltage is lower for higher ambient. The post at underhood fuse/relay box is known for loss that you have now fixed.

Re: Okay, engine mounts or exhaust leak? (And if so, where?)
Put the car in drive, hold the brake, and apply the throttle. Note the noise. Then put the car in reverse, hold the brake, and apply the throttle. Note the noise. If the noise sounds the same in both drive and reverse then I would suspect the exhaust.\ system. If the the noise is different between d...

Re: Haldex fuse?
It’s in the cargo area block, which is on the drivers side. Fuse 23, 7.5 amps.
Owners manual is really good for fuse box locations and contents.
