Re: 1996 850 Battery Drain Overnight - Yellow Wire Problem
Pete..you’ve picked up one weakness with current track type wiring diagrams like Volvo provides. Only the wiring appropriate for the subsection are shown I don’t see the yellow wire in the power distribution section, but it could be somewhere else, and unfortunately there is no way to see where to l...

Re: 1996 850 Battery Drain Overnight - Yellow Wire Problem
The yellow wire goes to the Secondary Air System. It supplies the power for the Secondary Air Relay and the Secondary Air pump. In the wiring diagrams you will find the yellow wire in the Engine Management and Sequential Fuel injection sections for Fenix 5.2. & Motronic 4.4. On the Motronic 4.3 ...

Re: 1996 850 Battery Drain Overnight - Yellow Wire Problem
Do instead of cutting the wire , pull relay 2/53 and test to see if it is fused closed.
If it isn’t , your ECU is pulling the relay closed by fault.
You can solve the drain problem by just pulling the relay.

He was asking for comments indicating interest for the manufacturer to...

Re: 1996 850 Wagon Service Light On
Are you sure the diode is still ok? Should be I know but ...
I guess the relay could be further deteriorated and somehow tripping a code, that may be more likely.

Re: 1996 850 Battery Drain Overnight - Yellow Wire Problem
But it also seems to sense around the relay if things are working (probably drawing current). P0410 does mean the current draw from the SAS relay is wrong. Could be too high (short) or too low (open). This test cannot detect a defective Air pump. ( If your scanner translation is correct ). If it is...

Re: Rebuilding and painting my calipers
^ Then throw them back in the lake where they apparently came from. Seriously, I just can't believe the amount of rusted parts that I have seen posted here. I wish there was a way for a NE group buy of some sort to get replacement parts from this part of the country over to you guys in the rust zone...
