Re: Oly 850 returns, now just a driver, new XC90
Oly 850: Glad to hear that your health problems are under control. Best wishes and prayers. As to the 2017 that looks like my wife's ride, but hers is black. Couple items - the car likes to eat tires. I have had mine rotated every 5k when I do an oil change. I pay the extra. Each time tires are rota...

Re: Control Arm Bushing
Agree the bushings are tired, but not at the point of failure. You may see some improvement if you change them. Yes I have replaced them - nothing difficult if you have a press. It will take more time. The ball joint if I recall is the item I could never remove so if yours are going bad go with the ...

Re: VVT Hub
Oil there is totally normal. If I recall the shop manual even says to get a rag ready.
How many miles? Your cam seal may be tired and due for a replacement. May want to do all four while you are at it.

Re: Vacuum hose to banjo bolt broke, where and what does it do?
If I recall correctly this set up is for both cooling and vacuum or air supply. The curved outside part is for coolant which I think is designed to heat and cool the intake or the air coming in. The Banjo portion is to route air via the banjo bolt that goes into the intake and that is the hose that ...

Re: 2004 T6, tranny replaced w/rebuilt OE
I have a 04 T6 with 140k on it. Original tranny was replaced at about 88k by Volvo with all the Volvo required parts being replaced. At about 134k I rebuilt the tranny my self as it was starting to make noise over 65mph. Upon tear down I saw excessive clutch wear and steel burns. The car spent 2 yea...

Re: 2004 T6, tranny replaced w/rebuilt OE
There is nothing magical about the Volvo 4T65E transmission. It is 95% the same as the GM variant of similar years. The Volvo rebuild kit is the same as the GM's, but it needs an additional kit which contains the fourth gear pack and a seal for the awd. Rebuilding the Volvo variant is 99% the same a...

Re: 2002 Volvo se T5
Richy: What did you find with your B4 Servo? Was it intact? If it was not that was most likely the source of your issues. Otherwise your solenoids may be sticking. It is possible a flush may help, but doubtful. You can either replace them or rebuild them. Your issues sound like B4 or solenoids - no ...

Re: Heater Core Hose Leak
PART NUMBER: 30745334 for hose that is on the left (right looking at firewall). PART NUMBER: 30745329 for hose that is on the right (left looking at firewall). Looks like these part numbers are for many Volvo cars, so just plug them in and pull up the diagrams to make sure it is what you are looking...

Re: Heater Core Hose Leak
If the hose you have snaps and secures in place I would leave it. Keep an eye on it for a few gas tank fills. As the part you bought is not OEM the connector is different. I suppose you could try to remove the hose from your old connector with out damaging the plastic and buy some hose of appropriat...

Re: My CEL saga - any ideas/help appreciated
I have been through a similar situation with my old Saabaru. In the end, after the dealer told me my CEM was bad, which I replaced, I pulled out the actual shop manual and fault traced. My brand new O2 sensor was a counterfeit and once I put in a real one all was well. Maybe the replacement parts ar...
