Re: 2004 XC90 T6 no spark
Maybe try sending a pm to forum member "Jagger" - from his posts he appears to be capable of handling certain programming on-line.

Re: 2005 XC90 2.5T Radiator Fan Removal
Regarding removal of the fan and shroud - What oragex says plus, as I recall and he mentions, the fan shroud has a protrusion that likes to hit the hose when pulling it up and out. Trick is to angle it front and back, sort of a twist and dip, so it clears (not forced - just positioning). After doing...

Re: 2004 XC90 T6 no spark
Sunroof drain - a common fix here as the tube is too short (Me thinks it shrinks with age) is to cut it at the top of the pillar and use a tube that has a ID that snuggly fits the OD of the existing tube - making it so about an inch of gap to provide the needed length. Basically it is acting as a co...

Re: Persistent Engine Performance Issue- even after major fixes
With the onboard diagnostic - are all reports coming back with "set" (the pictures show only some of them - what of the others?) I am looking for ETM - which is not shown in photos. Also you want them to read "ready" http://mr-fix.info/volvo-hidden-menu-dtc-check/ As I understand...

Re: Timing Belt Jumped a Few
Excellent results. For future reference - Question: With the crank set to the timing mark on the 2.9 engine one can rotate both cams 360 degrees without piston to valve contact when the timing belt is not on? Or put another way: For the 2.9 engine when the crank is set to the correct timing mark, an...

Re: WHAT WOULD U DO? New Head gasket or new motor??
How many miles on the current engine? Here is what I would do - create your build list for a head gasket job. Usually the kit comes with almost every gasket and seal you need. Then decide if you are going to do the timing belt and related - add it to the list. Next up is whether you rebuild the turb...

Re: New Head gasket or new motor? 2005 Volvo S60R
Leak down test - explanation - air is forced into the cylinder when the valves are closed (usually at the top of the stroke). As air is pressurized it looks for away out. Possibilities for air to escape are: 1) cracked cylinder walls, head gasket that has been compromised, piston rings, intake and e...

Re: fresh meat here.
Go with used doors - match colors. They should be under $150 a door. Try to get the quarter panel done by a paintless dent shop. Keep looking until you find one that can do it. You can also source used tires to tie you by as you sort the car out - FWD makes perfect height match a non-issue. Air bags...

Re: '00 V70 FWD: Fuse 27 keeps blowing - reverse lights / turn signal
You need to get a volt ohm meter (VOM) and check for shorts. If you have a short you need to find it and fix it. If you keep driving the car with the issue you could ruin the wire loom and possibly burn your car. If you cannot find any shorts - pull the wire diagram and check the relay and shunt tha...
