Re: '99 V70R exhaust measurements/exhaust upgrade advice

I would typically recommend using a Volvo shop, but exhaust is a pretty straightforward job for any car. Unless you can find a Volvo shop that does this type of work, I woulnd't stress it too much. 3" DP and 2.5" DP/cat back would be a good setup. Those are the common measurements for the ...

Re: Report on dash mount repair

I finally took care of this repair this past weekend, and I am very pleased with the results! It's like I'm driving a completely different car! My mounts were totally destroyed, likely related to this car previously being involved in a front end collision. With some assistance (I barely had the pati...

That all depends on if you want a project... Anyway, I'd fix the head gasket on the 2001 first. Both ...

Glad you got it taken care of! If you really wanted to, you could remove the remains of that bolt and replace it, but I don't think it will hurt anything to hold that shield on with one screw.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Turned out great! It's amazing how well the red cleans up. It seems all of them you see are faded horribly. All red Volvos are like that.

Re: U-Pull-It ...What should I grab? s70 v70 98-99

We have a "Junkyard 'Do Not Leave' Parts" thread somewhere, that has a lot of good info in it. '99 ECUs won't be of any use, as those are married to the VIN. '98 ECU might be worth it for resale if it's for a T5 or R. The leather seat bottom is identical from driver to passenger side, tota...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Definitely start with clay. If you have scratches as well, use a polish or compound after clay. Be sure to apply a fresh coat of wax after everything!

Re: DIY: 1998 V70 REAR Cam Seals using SKF 11809!

Good to know, I'll probably go with Corteco. eEuro carries them for under $6/piece.

Yup, I did the PCV service a while back... before I even had the car registered. About 20k miles ago.
