Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Did the heater core junction box bypass today on the R. Just have to wrap some things up in the morning, but I've really happy with how it turned out! I used 5/8" silicone heater hose and ordered some ABA hose clamps from eEuro (yes, there's a BIG difference between these and the cheap auto sto...

Re: '98 S70, 93k miles, intermittent Rough running and stalling

I thought when cam sensors fail it causes a no start? Not always. When my crank sensor went out, it was having these weird "hiccups" when I would start accelerating from a stop, almost cutting out. It was a little scary at times! Eventually I got a multi-cylinder misfire code and a crank ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

I'm too old to switch now! Besides my Volvo has Jet power under the hood 8) . Isn't Saab out of business? June Haha, they're not making cars anymore, but they do still make planes! It's unfortunate how GM slowly killed off Saab, I really loved my 9-5 Aero. That was an awesome car, tons of power and...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Wow... it's amazing how badly the GM cars from that era hold up in a collision. Really any American cars. European cars are just made so much better. You're so right but the Asian cars other than the new Subaru Accent are lacking... The Accent crash tests look exceptionally good. Really Subaru has ...

Re: 1998 and Prior Thermostat Interchangeable with 1999-2000?

You could probably use the older thermostat cover without issue. The thermostat itself is the same PN for all P80s 1993-2001, so unless clearance is a problem, it should probably work.

Re: outer CV removal - where is the circlip?

I just rebuilt the driver side axle on my 2000 R, which now has an M56 and an auto axle that came out of a '99 GLT. Same outer CV joint as j-dawg's car without the visible clip. When I reinstalled it the first time, the joint came out after driving it about 20 feet. It takes some force to get the ou...

ndphotonl wrote: 07 Apr 2019, 04:29 Do you have the OEM part number for this?
I don't have a Volvo PN for this particular TCV, but the Pierburg PN is 7.22908.03.0.
