There's a thread in the p80 forum. I've had success with Detroit Axle and also United Power Steering in the Detroit area. I’ve had the same good experience with these two vendors. About 3 years in their racks without problems. You can also drive it without power steering by routing the pump oil bac...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Mrs Dr Abscate insists on one newer car, a 2006 E83 Bavarian Money Waster. It has been a good ride. Came home to find she has ordered an Electric Vespa ...I’ve told her NYS requires a leather outfit. Re: Rebuilt Steering Rack Search From Hell
I was not whining when installing the rack in garage in December laying on my back. Like not the most easiest job on the planet, but totally doable. I've done worse. Re: 06 V70, cranks but no start
i think your vvt hub is worn beyond spec and leaking. FCP sells the big O ring but will that tighten up the play ? O-ring they sell is thinner than the original one. Plus O-ring grinds a groove, so the replacement O-ring actually needs to be even bigger than the original. I think I was able to sour...

Re: Parts failure poll: P2 Volvos: V70/S60/XC70 from 2001-2007
Interesting to me that almost all of the high point items on this chart (except alarm??) are normal maintenance, wear & tear items, not poor design, engineering faults, or assembly quality.

Re: Manually rotating camshafts by hand using camshaft locking tool, did I damage the valves?
1. Yes, absolutely.
2. Yes.
3. You'll see it immediately. It locks/mounts in one position only.
Too long bolt in Chinese kit is a common problem.
