Thanks for the reply VTI - went with lessening the sprockets and worked great On another note looks like its the exhaust cam itself leaking - huge amount of play on it so I ordered replacement. I had the exact same failure on my V70 2.5T at 253k miles. My seals were probably ok as it took much effo...

My new aftermarket pleather one from years ago I got on eBay. Color match was far from perfect but a huge improvement from the tattered old one.
