Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

volvolugnut wrote: 29 Oct 2021, 15:55 A Stirling engine submarine! Very cool. I had never heard of that.
Must be working because the whole idea is not to be heard.
Kind of ironic that the solution was a 200 year old engine design invented by a Scottish clergyman to save lives.

Re: OBD II - Reading & Clearing Codes with iPhone (1996 850R)

If you have a laptop you can run 850 OBD-II in a Android emulator.

Could get a cheap, used Android phone or tablet and use it to run 850 OBD-II.

Re: No start dead battery

Want to thank you, Rick, for all your help. I no longer that the car but learned, from new owner, that the ignition switch was bad. You are very accurate on your diagnosis. THANK YOU!! More likely the Column lock rather then the Electrical switch. The Column kept the switch from turning all the way...

Chuck W wrote: 13 Nov 2021, 13:13 A 2000 C70 should be ME7.
It is ME7 but that is the ECM only. He wants all the codes. There are 16 control modules on the 2000 C70.

Do you do a lot of short trips? You might try taking the car out for a long highway run. That will heat up...

I think I have an ELM OBDII bluetooth tester somewhere, but is there a recommended APP that can work with them? 850 OBD-II by Xiaotec. There is more information on 850 OBD-II in the VIDA, VADIS, DiCE form. Xiaotec is MVS member Xanthefin . Xiaotec 850 OBD-II is based on work done by Richard H. Jone...
