Direct replacement w/o mods are the R clutch and the Spec clutches (pricey and they have mixed reviews).
There might be something different. Check out europeantuning.nl (switch language settings to English and suddenly it all makes sense), they might have something besides the R and Spec clutches

Re: 850R complete engine rebuild + some questions
The R clutch fits the M56 as well, it just handles more torque. The best overall source for 850s is skandix.de. They have alot of Volvo parts. My local Volvo dealer orders at Skandix because he gets OE Volvo parts cheaper there than through Volvo Austria. Skandix has some hopups, but mainly OE or af...

Re: 850r failing emissions miserably (HC and CO)
Wasn't a high HC a sign of badly worn rings? But maybe a PCV problem would cause high HC as well.
Oh, and check if you have a vacum leak. A GM 4 banger I owned had a high CO because of a tiny leak in the intake manifold gasket.

Re: 850r failing emissions miserably (HC and CO)
One more thing: if you are not getting full boost, you might have a badly worn turbo, split intercooler hoses (check carefully, they might look okay if not boosting) or a shot intercooler. Usually it's the hoses, but I had a badly worn turbo in my 94 and you could smell the overly rich exhaust gases...

Re: 94 T5, how does the door handle fit into the door lock mechanism?
Chuck, you made me think. I found a solution that made it really esay to put everything back together. I will write up something tomorrow. The badic idea is to wrap a ziptie around the counter weight on the bottom, pull the counterweight towards the inside and fix it with duct tape right where my fi...

Re: Best Place To Break Through The Engine Compartment Firewall
It's the lid behind the fuse box (under the hood, next to the driver side hood hinge). There are 3 or 4 torx screws that need to be removed. And maybe the seal strip. 103 is the fuel relay, should be fairly easy to find.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Over the weekend I manual swapped my 96R and installed a Quaife and an ECU with a good tune.
Good lord, that thing is scary now ...
I'm glad the AW50-42 gave up on me a year ago or I probably would have never swapped it.

Re: 96 R manual swap: the hard way?
Alright, since I opened the topic, I might as well close it. I am done, my 96 R now has a quaifed up M56H 4.0 and 270 hp. It is scary fast and torquey compared to before. If feels 50% more powerful than my 94 T5M. Since a buddy of mine who is a mechanic specializing on race car builds could be convi...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
That quaife is awesome, but only if you have the tranny out.
Otherwise, removing the tranny is not worth it IMHO.
