Re: All instruments gone, then back
On that car there is no network for operational communication so ABS module could only kill speedometer. The oil service light coming on later would indicate the cluster powered up at that delayed time. Ignition switch, cluster connections, or internal fault like a broken solder point are on the lik...

Re: All instruments gone, then back
When I had a problem with the ignition switch, sometimes my car would start but none of the dials would work. I would start there. Try the old 'wiggle' test with the key to see if that makes a difference if the dash shuts down. I think the other guys have covered the other bases I would suggest. Goo...

Re: All instruments gone, then back
I had a similar issue.
It was a wiring connector under the dash that plugged into the under dash fuse/relay box.
When you have a look at the plug you will question just how on earth it can come loose.

Re: How did I convince myself to do this?
Have a real good look at the recirc air door flap motor and plastic linkage while you have that HVAC out If you can buy it cheap new I would replace. They do break and are hard ( impossible?) to do in car. I learned something in this thread. The fresh air damper motor can easily be removed without ...

Hi Everybody! Popping in to hopefully save someone else this frustration. I could not figure out getting the cruise control working after my manual swap in my '98 S70 T5, build date 08/97 (Sweden built car), and spent months looking for an answer. Someone mentioned this to me on VS Facebook. None of...
