Re: [2001 V70 2.4T] ECM-644A - Camshaft control, faulty position
The belt tension isn’t too critical , these belts go t jump time too easily. If the marks lineup, I would guess a faulty CVVt hub I might have a used one I'm never convinced that I've gotten the belt tension right, especially when it comes to getting the temperature indicator in the right place. On...

Re: 2004-xc70 turbo does not shut off
If it's coming on right when the car starts up, it might be the engine cooling fan, not the turbocharger. This can happen sometimes when the engine coolant temperature sensor is malfunctioning or disconnected, the computer will kick the fan in all the time to compensate.

Re: 2001 V70XC - Random stall when coming to a stop...
When the ETM on my '01 V70 was dying, it threw a few accelerator pedal-related codes. After having the ETM rebuilt, the accelerator pedal codes went away, so I'm fairly certain nothing was wrong with the pedal or pedal sensor in my case. I think it was just one way the ETM tried to interpret the dat...

Re: Thud when pressing accelerator
I recall instructions to have the car in drive (brake on, two people or e-brake?) when tightening the bolts for the upper engine mount so that it is 'pre-stressed'. This is supposed to reduce vibration through the mount and might help you. I am really surprised by the amount of movement in your mou...

Volvos on-screen (Internet Movie Cars Database (IMCDb.org))
I have noticed over the past few years that often, when a superhero-oriented tv show or movie wants to show how badass a particular hero or villain is, they will depict them coming into contact with a Volvo in some way or another. Makes sense, because if you can smash a Volvo with your bare hands......

Re: POLL: How did you buy from FCP?
Just a few thoughts on the way I buy parts. I have a Volvo dealer with a great parts department about a 10-minute drive from both my house and my workplace. I can usually run out and back on a break from work with time to spare. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I get a small discount on most ...

Re: I just created an MVS Facebook Group
This forum will not suffer because of this new FB group. So far, the group requires almost no time. If it does start to require my time, I'll appoint moderators to police it. It'll be a net gain. I'll cross-polinate ideas/DIYs if they don't occur naturally. I agree. I feel like the FB group and MVS...

Re: Rusted Flange Screws 2007 V70 2.5t
Here's the parts diagram for the section you're looking at - I think the screw and washer in question are #17 and #18.
