Re: Volvo V50 automatic gearbox

It sounds like the transmission fluid's viscosity is too high when cold and comes within range after warming up ... When was the last time the transmission fluid was changed?

Re: Suspension parts

I had bad experience with the Lemforder ca bushings sold in separate boxes... but maybe what they put in the ca sold as a unit is better quality.. how knows. These days the market is moving a lot with suppliers changes. Only long term will tell.. On the other side the IPD HD arm seems to be holding ...

Re: Didn't do proper disconnect/reconnect battery

Hello Ask a friend to bring his car close and to keep it's engine running. Careful not to have the cars touching each other. Insert your key in Pos II (stamped on the side of the barrel) Careful using the battery jumping cables: always keep each alligator with a different hand to not let them touch ...

Re: P2 Cars: Blower Motor Replacement (How To)

Search XC90 forum, I posted a DIY for 2005 XC90 blower motor lubrication.
It is almost identical procedure for S60, V70 series.

You will need to break one tab (out of 5 tabs) to get the blower motor out.

At the front of the car is the radiator that cools the coolant, then the intercooler that cools the pressurized air from the turbo to the throttle body, and then the big engine fan that pulls air through the previous two. (There is also a ATF cooler in there somewhere.) The pipe with the compressed ...

This is the MAP/ Boost sensor. http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee376/jwholley68/MAP%20sensor_zps8mrlpsov.jpg As mentioned when facing the bumper it's mounted on the bottom right side of the interooler. It's mounted onto the inercooler with a tiny plastic torx screw. List all the codes then repor...

Re: Vibration/scratchy gas pedal ?!?

Throttle is electronic-drive by wire on this year/model. Vibration you're feeling in the pedal would be coming through what it's attached to: the firewall. So an attempt to make it better (?) would probably involve looking at anything that would transfer engine vibrations into that area: rear subfra...
