Re: Radiator protection?

I heard an ominous sound on our V70 AWD a couple months ago when mindlessly parking. I was pulling into a spot with a curb & the front of the car actually made contact. I hadn’t experienced that before, & am darn sure to never do it again. It scraped the underside of the front of the subfram...

Re: Radiator protection?

The fact that the cars are known to 'sink" is still further reason to provide some protection for the radiator. Making the job of replacement a little easier wouldn't hurt either.

Re: Belt fail timing jump

Alright well we have an update..got the engine pulled and I was right..it did not bend a single valve..it bent EVERY valve..wow. It shows no damage to the pistons..and zero ridge at the top of the stroke..I am sorely tempted to just do the head..but..there would still be question marks so..I will ge...

Re: 2002 s80 trans slipping swap or rebuild?

Re: What was your car that got away?

The 440 Six Packs were faster 0-60 than Hemi 426 if I recall correctly, but the Hemi was faster in the 1320 ft. I know we're talking about a dual carb here, but I just had to add my 2¢ because how often do I get to write "440 Six Pack"? it just sounds powerful. The Dart with the 340 and st...

Re: 2002 s80 trans slipping swap or rebuild?

This is a nightmare now , it took me over 3 hours to get that all out and back in again . Hopefully its ok now. I realized during the process that I never explicitly pull that sunshaft out and none of the various videos show that either. I had a lot of trouble trying to get it together and I found t...

Re: 2002 s80 trans slipping swap or rebuild?

I did make some pins to hold the gaskets. The rockauto kit came with metallic replacement gaskets for the channel plate . They were bent in 3 places and wouldn't lie flat so I was having trouble getting the gaskets to stay put. M6 threaded rod isn't a thing anywhere near me so I dug out 2 M6 bolts ,...
