If you’re that far into it take the knuckle off and press it in with the bench vise. Or a ball joint press. Mine sucked in pretty easy with the bolts but I think they were changed once before. You really don’t want to screw up these threads!

Well I think I definitively determined the problem. I put 12 volts to the pump and no life in either direction. That Dorman pump lasted 6 months. I'll order a new Volvo one today and look forward to another day lying under the car Might as well change the fluid and filter again too.
