Re: 04 V70 2.5t driverside CV Shaft
That acceleration vibration at 50-60 is almost certainly an axle joint, why not put it together and go for a drive since you've changed the likely culprit already?

Re: Are there Canadian parts suppliers than can compete price-wise..?
Volvo of Toronto online store is often competitive and offers free shipping on orders above $ 150 I recall. They are pleasant to deal with and helpful on the phone and appreciate if you look up your own part number.

Re: How much engine oil for a 06 XC70 engine?
I think mine takes pretty much exactly 5.6 litres including filter all the many times I've changed it myself, I'm not sure what the problem is with your dipstick is though, mine will only make the curve in two positions also. I'm not real fussy if I get it a little overfilled a bit although my car b...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
They got a nice '04 XC70 at the wreckers yesterday so I went there to see if it had anything I could use. Re: Would it be possible to clear out a gummed up PCV instead of replacement?
Short answer is no, the labor required would be the same as replacing all of it anyway. I kept all my old stuff for months after replacing the PCV and associated plumbing thinking I would take a stab at cleaning it and decided that it was in no way feasible.

Re: Interior handle needs painting!
. Car interior before cleaning after purchase so is pretty dirty. Leather door card before cleaning also. I didn't attempt the handle as I ran out material from unsuccessfully wrapping the mirror cap of the 08 C30 T5. . 0.jpg IMG_20230901_164509480.jpg Leather Door Cards (3).jpg IMG_20230902_164459...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
My neighbour just bought a Rivian SUV and took me for a spin in it last week. It's a beautiful amazing vehicle that has more acceleration than I've ever felt in a vehicle in my life, even weighing in at 7000 lbs. It's easily the fastest vehicle I've ever been a passenger in.....by far. I told him I'...
