Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Well this is all very timely! Yesterday I borrowed my M-I-L’s uninsulated garage to take apart my door and replace those clips. I drove around running errands and cooked the interior until I couldn’t take it, to warm up the plastic. Pointed my wife’s old hair dryer at specific spots and clips. VERY ...

Re: wrap flex tube for temp repair
Interesting thread, I will have to do a permanent repair within the next year also. Please post photos and part numbers and suppliers of good flex pipes and the repairs you have done. I'm most nervous about the flange bolts snapping off when I try to remove them. o'reiley auto parts have the better...

Re: P80 P2 Subframe Bushing installation with pictures 3507923
Special bushing press.jpg I used the washer from the first bushing and turned it upside down and glued some top strut nuts on it to make an installation tool and a bushing bolt to fully seat the bushing. This was necessary so that the force is distributed on the plastic frame of the bushing, not th...

Did just update post #1. Added 2002 V70 and 2003 V70 XC70 X90 diagrams.Blacklab467 wrote: ↑07 Feb 2024, 07:23 Do you have the MAIN 2003 wiring diagram? I'm looking at the 2003 supplement and it doesn't cover what I'm looking for. I looked at the 2005 wiring diagram but I think it might be different than the 2003, thanks.

Re: NEW TOPIC *** JUNKYARD REQUESTS *****
The one in the 04 at PnP Barlow trail is toast. I took it out when removing the side panels and it does not retract. Can't recall if the P2's are pull and release to make the spring retract or like the P80's and can only stay out when they are broken or held in place in their notches on the back of ...

Re: 2003 xc70 exhaust flex pipe, part number?
they should make the rear hardware out of the same material because the front nuts didn't corrode at all. The 3 nuts come off with no problem. I used this hardware kit, https://www.fcpeuro.com/Volvo-parts/V70/?year=2004&m=1280&e=2105&t=5&b=6&d=586&v=97&keywords=8642449KT ...

2002 V70 XC - DIM Removal & Repair
. Friend told me I'm a bull in a china shop when it comes to any type of repairs as I tend to break things. Wanted to see if I could remove the DIM without breaking any tabs or other plastics so took a little more time. Instead of paying the $150 to send it out he will be doing the soldering per las...

Re: Steering wheel swap 2003 XC70 Wood Wheel
. Since I have a 2002 V70 XC I was curious. Per FCP regardless of DSTC it's 2 wire 05 vs 3 wire 03. 2005 is first year with 2 wire as 04 still has 3 wire from FCP photos, part numbers & Fitment Guide. . 2003 https://www.fcpeuro.com/Volvo-parts/XC70/?year=2003&m=218&e=2105&t=5&b=6...

Re: Steering wheel swap 2003 XC70 Wood Wheel
Looking at the pictures, the main difference I can see is that the later 2 plug version actually has a third plug connector on the clockspring. So I guess that the 'third' connection is a plug in and not a lead with a connector on the end. Both also have the 2 plug ins on the rear. I'm thinking that...
