Re: 2008 c30 coolant loss

If it is the tank you should be able to see it. I just sold a 2008 C70 and based on risk of catastrophic octopus hose failure and overheating/engine failure I changed all the hoses and thermostat plus the housing. Worth considering if planning to keep the car, not a bad DIY job. If the octopus hose ...

Re: 2011 C30 Automatic T5 drivetrain vibration

. Our 2008 C30 Cosmic White Java two toner 2.0 T5 M66 has been parked for quite sometime due to that vibration except on the passenger side. Changed both axles and redid the control arms with Poly and new ball joint improved it. Still makes noise and a little vibration. Though I have strut mounts an...

Re: 2011 C30 T5 Inner tie rod boot

Looks like a breather between left and right bellows to allow air to travel between each side when turning. You can see on the bellows where it was connected

Re: 2011 C30 T5 Inner tie rod boot

When rotating, it appears as though there is a breather between the left and right bellows to let air move between them. The bellows show the location of its connection.

Re: Clunk when turning left / C30 2.5 T automatic

Subframe bushings were my thought, not sure how hard they are to replace on a P1 chassis.

Re: Clunk when turning left / C30 2.5 T automatic

. Possible wheel bearing or strut bearing? Haven't looked at the 08 C30 2.0 M66 in awhile but did replace the struts twice with spring compressors. Spray if reachable or separate the strut bearing and greased just in case it makes noise. Careful as they will go everywhere if not careful so separate ...

Re: 2011 XC60 3.2 Hood Open

Both hood locks have sensors in them that indicate open/close position. If you want to get rid of the message without replacing defective lock-unplug the connector to the lock and using small gage wire create "c" shape bridge between 2 terminals. Apply tape around the connector to protect ...

Re: Clunk when turning left / C30 2.5 T automatic

Dear, sir. I am taking my hat off for all the hard labor your did. I am concerned that your current approach is getting to be costly. If erievovo cv shaft will not fix the issue(hey, your old/new one one leaked grease anyway), I would opt raise the white flag and search for a local shop equipped wit...

Re: Clunk when turning left / C30 2.5 T automatic

Thanks for the follow up. I did turn the wheels with the car in the air back and forth and heard nothing. Bought this car used and it had that sound initially. It sounds like if you hit a petal pipe with another metal pipe just once.. I did take the car to the Firestone by me where I gor the alignm...
