Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
It was a good day to do INDOOR plumbing. Strong North wind and a high of 32 F. Yesterday I worked about 5 hours on the second bathroom sink, drain, supply hoses, and faucet replacement. I knew I did not have everything needed for the drains, but planned to replace the drain another day. Murphy said ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I ordered up some new GKN Loebro axles for the XC. A little history; my originals failed at 240,000 Kms, I then tried 2 sets of Cardone China specials with bad results (vibration right out of the box), then got a nice set of used originals (GKN) from the auto wreckers that have been working well for...

I suppose it’s an intentional design, like the banjo bolt - keeps things interesting for us loyal folk who like DIYing ;) Nope, I don’t send anything anywhere. You need 1. A laptop, 2. Internet connection, 3. DiCE unit (ViDA software not needed nor is it used in this case). You provide him your VIN,...

Hopefully I can provide some guidance for this job for those who are contemplating a DIY, it's a very easy job that shouldn't take more than 2 hours for both sides. Re: Mopar appreciators' thread
Hey Matthew, I've always liked the Chargers but never really considered ownership due to admission costs, and I'm incredibly fussy about condition and thought that something I would be satisfied with would be well over 100K. Anyway, this car came available from the widow of the original owner and wa...

Re: Another key fob rebuild post?
All done! We did 3 new keys. In addition to this, for my original switchblade that I broke the transponder for, we re-coded a new Id48 chip so that switchblade is now functional again. All in all, it took a little under an hour to do 3x keyless entry programming and 4x immobilizer transponders (ID48...
