Re: PCV service turns into oil pan work.
I do see a small leak at the base of the thermostat housing so I figured I'd just change the gasket and thermostat, can you not buy just a thermostat? Do you have to buy the whole housing with sensor? AH, Welcomethe p2 thermostat nasties… There is a thread here about sourcing and replacing just the...

Re: Lost my only key, what are my options?
Try going to the dealer with VIN and your state proof of ownership. They may be able to provide a new key. It may not be cheap. If your ignition lock was ever replaced, this may not work. Every key will have a code chip matched to the car electronics and swap will not work unless other steps are tak...

Re: Lost my only key, what are my options?
" I do have a working key fob to it but that's it."
thats the most important thing, the fob contains the coded chip , see if the dealer will cut a new blade, I was quoted $100.
Or you can just swap the lock barrel and blade from the parts car.

Re: 06 V70, cranks but no start
I am showing rpm on vida/dice while cranking and saw somewhere that it means the intake cam sensor is reading, the tachometer doesn't move while cranking, though. vida might be getting rpm data from the crankshaft sensor because its indicating the cam signal is missing. cranking speed before the en...

Re: 06 V70, cranks but no start
Was the oil leaking from the crankshaft seal? When I first replaced the front crankshaft seal it started leaking right away. The splines on the crankshaft easily split the seal. If it is the front crankshaft seal then use either a funnel over the splines or wrap them with electrical tape. Whatever y...
