Re: Misfires and much more
If you double click on those cylinder misfire codes traffic icons it should have counters if I remember correctly. These cars are old enough that a code coming up once doesn't worry me. If it keeps appearing then it is worthy of attention. If you're having misfires you would have known. The car woul...

Re: Misfires and much more
Thanks for all your answers. My vvt solenoid is brand new, as I struggled last year with ecm 644a, 643a. Since i changed it and did a timing it seems to work properly. Re: P80 front wheel bearing - Questions!
If you use anti-seize I believe the torque is to be reduced to ~80% of spec. I wouldn't want to do that. If I were to use anything, I'd use the green, because frankly the assembly isn't going to rattle apart short of you sending it to space and back.

Re: V70 1999 I was driving along and the car shuts off. Instruments on the dash went bananas. Now have a p1618 code.
Also check the smaller cable that comes off the positive terminal. This handles everything except the starter if I'm remembering correctly.
Do you have a battery hold down in place? When I didn't, said cable would loosen on the terminal and I'd end up with everything going lights out & dead.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Went to replace panhard/stay on rear of '99 XC today. Found additional damage such as a sway bar mount being destroyed. Hit everything with Fluidfilm for now, will be back under there when I return to US.

Re: Rusty Rockers
If it were me - hit it with a needle scaler, some rust converter, self etching primer and then some paint.
