Re: 1998 s70 GLT - OOPS!

The OREO is a check valve that only allows flow of gas from the white side to the black side. They rarely fail but I don’t think you can source them new anymore. You can use a generic one from a FLAPS...local auto parts store Last I looked they were ~$30/each. Crazy price for a darn check valve. No...

Re: Turbo leaking.

TheOtherside wrote: 04 Mar 2020, 10:09 That was after 10 minutes of running.
Replace that air filter too. Could be restricted which will cause a bit of oil seeping from turbo internally.

Re: 98 XC-Disappointing 0-60 times: what do I do?

Your XC is giving away a lot of pounds to the 850 and drivetrain friction too. The faster you try to hurry, the quicker you get to end of life,..just sayin... So true. I own a crotch rocket and I see people passing me all the time during the summer. They get two things I won't be getting... Tickets...

Re: AC Cuts out after about 15 minutes....

On some of the compressors there is also a thermal breaker that engages if the compressor gets too hot... On the off chance you find the gap within spec.

Re: Loss of coolant summary, please.

What scot850 said - rent a tester so you can put the system under pressure if the exhaust gas test is a negative. Odds are you have a very slow drip. How long ago did you do a cooling system refresh? Any hose over 10 years old should likely be replaced, if only for the fact it will be going soon at ...

Re: '97 855 GLT: is there an easy way to fix a slow leak in AC at this junction?

You need the spring tool. Have it recycled/pumped down. Pop the spring adapter over top, push it towards the left, hold tight while pulling right side out. Will be two o-rings in there. Replace those two o-rings, clean the hell out of it. Keep under a vac for ~20 minute or longer. Recharge to taste.

Re: Clip issue on heater core intake hoses

Next time run the heater core through the dish washer. It works wonders for the smell.

Re: Robert DIY His car has been stolen

I had a kid try to steal a "small" dump truck back when I lived down south. Apparently the idea of driving stick got him, and then the fact it had 4WD got him again with the stick for that. We caught the little bugger on camera, but this was the 90's and he looked like a snowflake or cotto...

Re: Yakazi instrument cluster: clock and temp gone

So today, while driving, suddenly my clock and temp gauge disappeared. the slot is still illuminated, but the digits are gone. Everything else works fine. It's in my 94 T5M with the Yakazi cluster with just clock and remp gauge, nothing else. Anyone any ideas? Check the back of the board. My guess ...
