Re: Gunk in the oil dipstick tube
Shorter oil change interval will not prevent oil condensation and milky dipstick from frequent short trips in cold weather....the fact is that it can appear in a few days after oil change....and vanish the same day after longer driving. The issue to care about is water and fuel buildup in the oil t...

Re: 225/55R17 tyres on V70
I'd stick to 50 profile at most to keep reasonably within specs for circumference.

Re: Headlight wiper motor
It's a separate three pin connector just behind each headlight. Easily accessible without removing anything. It looks the same on both sides which nothing else does really.

Re: Tips & Advice for V70 T6 purchase?
The T6 drivetrain is generally considered quite bomb proof. Apart from that the same as any other P3.

It's not a huge difference in ride height and they're both, by European standards, road ships designed for relaxed journeys rather than active and precise driving. Re: Alternator - 120A, 140A, or 160A?
The biggest one is always safe if price differences aren't too big. The only reason there are options is to save money when making the cars.

Re: Change Automatic Tranny Fluid Ya or Nah
If it goes bad when you replace the fluid it was already bad but just hadn't shown it quite yet.
If you really want to play it safe then add an inline filter to the return line then replace what drains from the pan a couple of times with some driving in between.

Re: Eastern European Parts
After having two sets of German made Zimmermann brake discs warp on me I bought a set from Bosch instead. Made in China. They've been excellent so far. I'm more concerned about the brands reputation than country of manufacture personally when it comes to parts that unlike for example oil don't have ...

Re: 2002 V70 x/c springs
Why lift? There are reenforced springs that keep geometry and handling stock (a tad stiffer in the rear perhaps) but also keep the car from sinking too low when loaded, if that's the issue. Some lifting when replacing old and worn shocks and springs is to be expected regardless though. My V70 probab...
