Well done! What I take from this is a good learning/teaching moment. We all assumed you knew the firing order which was clearly an error on our part. Well done to all the guys for helping figuring this out and hopefully now a simple fix.
Neil.

Re: new metal on metal scraping noise from wheels, LF, area
Not sure why the 'Brake' warning light would come on unless you have a fluid leak or a damaged ABS wire. But that would through an ABS warning light too.
Could be a stuck brake caliper and worn down brake pads. Don't assume both are related. They may or may not be.

Re: tearing out what is left of my hair, 2000 V70 XC: P0442
Hi Rocket Take a look at this: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48855 It's usually elbows, but at 20 years old it could be hoses, their fit and tightness, or something else. Start there, looking at the elbow and hoses first. When my 850 was 15 years old I went nuclear...

Re: tearing out what is left of my hair, 2000 V70 XC: P0442
Yes. It is just forward of the fuel filter on the top of the rear sub-frame and just above the rear axles. The carbon canister (approx. 12" x 6" x 3" black box) is mounted on a securing plate, and on the rear of that is the fuel filter. 2000 V70R AWD Fuel and Emissions pipe routing 08...

If you dont have to add coolant for more than two weeks, I would take the car on a road trip, especially in populated areas where it is easy to get help. Do try to identify the leak origin, then you can order parts and have them with you, even if you dont get to put them on.

Re: 2000 V70 AWD 56 engine slow coolant leak
Usual culprits Rear of engine (technically the right side of engine, but whatever...) two small coolant hoses that service the turbo on your AWD car. They are cheap but a bit sus scrofa to replace. The overflow reservoirs usually crack after about 15 years Dont go cheap or aftermarket on cooling par...

Re: 2000 V70 AWD 56 engine slow coolant leak
+1 on all of the above. I actually had a minute hairline crack in the radiator itself, where the plastic sides are crimped to the frame of the core. Drove me nuts because it would just drip into the splash guard and probably run out went I went down the hill from my house. Never had a drip in the ga...

Mix a Gallon of Volvo coolant and put it in the trunk. Then enjoy your trip!
The light comes on when there is still close to an inch of coolant still in the reservoir. Pleanty of time to pull over and top up.
Just make sure to open the cap very slowly to let the pressure equalize.

Re: 2000 V70 AWD 56 engine slow coolant leak
I had similar problem as 850LPT. A very slow leak where the plastic radiator side tank was crimped to the aluminum radiator core on the lower passenger side. I got a new radiator to install but it actually blocked itself up after a while and stopped leaking, I call that a win!

Re: 2000 V70 AWD 56 engine slow coolant leak
Is it leaving a puddle under the car, or is the coolant slowing leaving the reservoir with no external signs of leakage?
