Re: ‘07 V70 2.5T 2nd hand S80 rims don’t fit?
Okay. Problem solved. So as it turns out these rims fit just fine, our friends at a national tire distributor just weren’t trying that hard. They thought the center hole was the wrong size, but after checking around and my son just putting a tire on himself and taking a drive, he took it back to th...

Re: Replacing exhaust manifold and gaskets on 96 R. Likelihood of breaking studs?
There is art and science of broken bolt extraction. I expect there are many U Tube videos. It is not fun, but satisfying when successful. Best to avoid breaking the bolt stud in the beginning. Lots of your favorite spray (PB Blaster has many fans), heat applied, good wrench fit, and most important i...

Especially if you‘ve ever experienced the thrill
of one breaking off and getting to drill a hole in

Anyone want a free 2000 S70? Must go ASAP. Near Petaluma, California
My old 2000 S70 SE has a blown head gasket but still runs fine and has for a few thousand miles. You need to add coolant every now and then, I just use water. There's a theory that it won't pass smog because of that, but that's unconfirmed. Runs well, has something like 175,000 miles, in pretty good...

98-00 Center Console compatibility?
I grabbed a well used center console from a 2000 XC for my project 98 V70. I really just wanted to have a cigarette lighter and cup holders back. Unfortunately, the big white plug to power all the accessories seems to be different from the one on the console. Pic attached. The connector for the OBD ...

Re: Can't find the fuel filter on an 04 V70 2,5 turbo
Hmm. I’ve never had a California car with a metal tank, but the only opening to that tank is in the trunk, up and right of the spare tire well. You can spin the retainer ring with a hammer and a large screwdriver and you’ll have access to the fuel pump & gauge sender, I bet it’s in there. Be ca...

Re: Climate Control Nightmares
Nope, connectors are not reversible - they look like they could be, but have tabs to prevent it. So they're all plugged in properly

Re: Tow a Volvo long distance (100 miles)
I'm surprised a Nautic Blue P80 left abandoned did not end up on Abscate's driveway while your back was turned!
