Update: replaced the vvt solenoid on bank 1. No more bogging out under load .Replaced the coil on #4 which was missing. Car runs like a dream now. Next project is the “anti skid service required “ Thanks for all the input/help! MVS is the best!

Did you check the filter screen in the reservoir?

I have 2009 s80 t6. Have 206 k miles on it. The fluid is dark, smells burning. It has humming noise when you start and turns wheels. The real culprit was clogged filter screen.

If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants..

Alright, the work is done. I took it on a 40 min test drive (trip to the dump) and all is well. Final list: 1. Drive belt, tensioner, idler pulley, decoupler pulley 2.
