I spent months chasing an electrical or fuel issue. The car would have trouble starting, but intermittently.

Finally replaced the starter (170,000 mile original) and that fixed the issue. Usually the solenoid just dies, but these Bosch starters are so good, that they just slowly go out.

And not sure how your PVC system is, but us 850 guys have learned mods using 5/8" fuel hose that maybe you could adapt. Old engines with turbos have more crank case pressure than what OEM setup was for.

Just wanted to share this with all those chasing down evap leak codes, like 0445 and 0442. Def check/replace all hoses, J hoses, roll over valve, etc. Those are the main things that affect it. I was getting 0445 until I fixed these. But the small leak, code 0442, kept creeping up after doing all tha...
