Like mentioned by SuperHerman, I used a Dremel tool to cut a slot in the shear bold and then used a larger standard screw driver. It was easy to do and I have very little wrenching experience.

Never mind! I figured it out when I flipped over the dashboard sitting in the corner of the garage and realized that the little light on the top of the dashboard is a sun sensor and that the hazard light was in the middle of the dashboard. The offending green connector goes to the sun sensor.
