Whoops! I done with this car. Just had the head done, new radiator, new tires new struts.........

anybody need parts.

Broke bolt off on water pump -- tried to drill it out and screwed that up real good. I;m done with this.

sounds like a workable option. That may be what I end up doing.

I've seen some thread but I have yet to see any instruction to make a tool to pull the cam cover back down, I see in the hanes book something about using an old spark pulled but I can see how they made the tool.

I'm doing the head gastket and getting stuff to put it back together

Just took my blown head to the machine shop(the gasket looked fine, but I had .14" of daylight between #2 & 3 cylinder. The machinist is talking, if the head is warpped "we can straighen it in a press and heating it" then we'll shave it.
He stated that when warrped the cams will rock if you don't ...

ok, thanks, i found a thread on this site from a long time ago. the person had some great instructions. take to right side down and out first the the left side. came off and went back on great.

Yea I guess I'll get to see all that when I get the head off.
I spent a few hours getting most of the stuff out of the way in order to pull the head, marks all lined up, timing belt off but not out, Do you have to remove the pulley from the crank case to get the belt out or what, man ...

I just got the car back into the driveway, so I'll be starting the process today.

So The cams don't fall out coming out -- Just when you put it back you have to line them up and lock them down with some kinda device?

Does the head come out in two ...
