Unless your struts are verifiably bad, I wouldn't replace them. Ditto the mounts. Agreed, you can go ahead and order the mounts then if your's turn out to be okay, simply return the new ones (most likely they're okay).

Your clunk could also be from the swaybar links. Cheap and easy to replace so ...

Yep they're cheap to maintain. Parts are reasonable, and if you can do your own work, so much the better. If this car truly has been well maintained, you're probably in good shape, but it is an old car so things will wear out.

Just read your previous post from Nov 2nd. To me, it sounds like it could be your crankshaft position sensor. It's located on the upper bellhousing behind the engine. Kind of a pain to get to, but relatively easy and cheap to replace.

Does it start fine, run for a while, and then start acting up? Or does it act this way all the time? More difficult to restart when warm?

Another vote here for the Zimmerman rotors. My S70 has had them on the front for well over 30k miles now. Very satisfied. Used aftermarket pads, however. Seems to increase rotor life and definitedly has less dust. You do get that bit of squeal, however.
