Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

Thank you for your opinions, but my original post was NOT how to reinstall the stock air box housing unit. I knew I was going to get some users who were skeptical of this and try to resolve it by saying "why don't you take it off". Say what you want but this car has been my daily driver for 8 years ...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

Yes we are referring to the SAS pump hose, located on the top of the air box cover. I think it was the way I explained it that was confusing. I located a delete for the SAS here, what do you guys think? I don't see a good way to hook up this SAS pump hose anywhere before MAF so it is probably best t...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

OK, I had a feeling that the hose (to the left of the cold air intake hose) which is still open could be causing a misbalance. I was under the impression the " more air to the system the better". I will close that off after work today and update this.
Thanks!

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

I will definitely reexamine the gasket because it was a sketchy fit, it didn't want to stay flush until it was tightened down, maybe it was crimped little. Where is the flame trap flange located again, Is that where the PCV system runs? I believe I reconnected it but am not aware of that part name. ...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

I did put a new one on because the old one was decayed away. Although I do remember the new gasket "popping" around a lot as I began to tighten down the throttle body bolts.

High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install

So I have finally reached stage 0 and started with the add ons. The new cat and exhaust really made the naturally aspirated engine a joy to drive again, but I decided to complete the setup with a K and N cold air intake. The K and N 57i series induction. Immediately after installation of this K and ...

Re: Koni Special Active

I performed a complete front end suspension restoration last spring on my wagon. I went with Koni Str.t struts because they gave a really nice sports ride without compromising too much comfort. The price was also really good. Best bang for your buck so to speak. I have been interested in Koni yellow...

Re: 98 V70 Travel Pac

I agree with what has been said already. Fuel pump and having an extra Fuel Pump Relay in your glovebox would be a very wise investment. Bring the usual oils/liquids and have your battery and alternator tested. Double check inner/outer tie rod ends for structural integrity. Check axles for leaks. Ch...

Re: OEM Exhaust rusted after four years. Recommendations?

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me! I just couldn't resist the drop in price for the sports exhaust so I finally went for it. Vivaperformance has dropped the Ferrita to a very fair price. I bought the Starla originally for $175 bucks and that was a steal. I definitely got my money worth out o...
