Re: Looking at 98 V70 GLT turbo wagon....
Ah sweet, I love the interior... same exact color as mine too. I currently have 270k on mine. I got it at 150k and it has been my daily driver for literally over 8 years straight. Funny you say that because I am doing my Cv axle, wheel bearings, tie rod ends and new upgraded IPD sway bars next weeke...

Re: Looking at 98 V70 GLT turbo wagon....
Awesome choice my friend. I have the same exact car (98 V70 manual Coral reef red) I get excited looking at your car now, even as I simultaneously gaze at mine outside my window... volvogasm. I have gone through and replaced LITERALLY every single part on this car myself. There is not a spot on the ...

Ah that is a great idea. Helping someone in need and then rekindling the love lost with the M56.

Re: The Resurrection/Insurrection of GrunHilde - 1998 V70 NA M56 421 Green
I am 100% for stage 0 restorations, and have done so on my 98 V70 NA manual, but the amount of rust here is concerning. I would try to salvage the transmission and other donor parts to put towards your next project. If you do decide to restore this I would love to see the progression and results. Wi...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install
Hey Ryan, Thanks for the positive feedback! The car ran great all summer and I had a blast racing and giving a competitive sleeper vibe to all those who tempted to play with the wagon lol. I have recently created a youtube channel with my V70 and a GoPro, check it out. https://www.youtube.com/channe...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install
Thank you for your opinions, but my original post was NOT how to reinstall the stock air box housing unit. I knew I was going to get some users who were skeptical of this and try to resolve it by saying "why don't you take it off". Say what you want but this car has been my daily driver fo...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install
Yes we are referring to the SAS pump hose, located on the top of the air box cover. I think it was the way I explained it that was confusing. I located a delete for the SAS here, what do you guys think? I don't see a good way to hook up this SAS pump hose anywhere before MAF so it is probably best t...

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install
OK, I had a feeling that the hose (to the left of the cold air intake hose) which is still open could be causing a misbalance. I was under the impression the " more air to the system the better". I will close that off after work today and update this.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: High Idle and P0505 after cold air intake install
I will definitely reexamine the gasket because it was a sketchy fit, it didn't want to stay flush until it was tightened down, maybe it was crimped little. Where is the flame trap flange located again, Is that where the PCV system runs? I believe I reconnected it but am not aware of that part name. ...
