Finally got the spring clip back on the replacement caliper and I was feeling really good about myself since all I had left to do was reattach the brake line. Aaaaand . . . I needed to reattach the brake line before I put the caliper before I put it back on, didn't I?

Progress, sort of. I was able to short the driver's side enough to get the window to raise a couple inches. The motor is failing intermittently. Looks like if I can get it high enough, I'll be able to remove the glass. I got a replacement motor from a junkyard.

Yes, the key is on. I just tried again. I was able to successfully short the passenger side window but I got nothing from the driver's side. So I'm feeling like it's something other than the switch.

Can anyone walk me through how to go about jumping the switch? Assume I'm not terribly savvy when it comes to electronics. I understand which wires are involved but I can't seem to get them to do anything so I feel like I must be doing something wrong.
