I see no external amp, but it may be hidden down by the heater core.
The car does have a 6-CD changer in the trunk.
I chose the SC-811 because it was cheap, and I am simply seeking a working cassette player, for using a bluetooth adapter.

I am attempting to replace my SC-710 radio unit with an SC-811 unit, in a 1996 850.
Can anyone advise how I might find an adapter or other solution to overcome the lack of an "amp" wire and plug to go in the "amp" port in the SC 811?
