Best spark plug for non-turbo 70 series?
Hello all, This topic has been adressed before by others, but I think that my results from 3 separate cars runs counter to what is advised. Our family has two 2000 V70s (191k, 133k) and 1 1998 S70 (133k), all non-turbo. Experience with Volvo plugs (Volvo labeled plugs which have multiple electrodes ...

Vacuum line at air filter 1998 S70- where does it go?
Hello all I swapped out my ignition coil in the 1998 S70 as my wife had it stall intermittently and there was evidence ofwhite chalky corrosion on the ignition coil (although unable to see arcing in the night from it). I am not sure if the problem has gone away yet, but it seems to be driving pretty...

Re: Power seat electrical supply question 2000 V70
Knowledgable in Fairbanks:
Thank you for the information. A 20 Amp circuit breaker type fuse placed in slot 39 brought current to the drivers side power seat harness. The seat works flawlessly. Stay warm up there,
William

Power seat electrical supply question 2000 V70
Hey all I have a 2000 V70 with manual seats. I am lucky and found a set of leather seats from the yard, and I quickly put them in. They look great, but the new drivers seat is power controlled, and when plugged in to my harness, does not work. I checked the power from the harness, and no current is ...

Crankshaft position sensor: How do I replace it? 2000 V70
Last week my father was driving my 2000 V70 non turbo which has 152,000 miles on it. He said he lost most of the power, and the check engine light went on. He made it home safely. Indeed the check engine light was on, and the scanner returned a code for the crankshaft position sensor. The code was c...

Re: 2000 S70 Trasmission dip stick broken
I have a 2000 V70 that had the same problem (broken after transmission drain and fill at a sub-par shop). By it's design it is prone to breakage. The thickness tapers down and then gets larger so as to allow a second o ring gasket seal. It is prone to breaking around the deeper o ring. I was able to...

Should the ignition coil in a 1998 S70 be replaced regularly
Hello All I have a 1998 S70 with 113,000 miles on it. I have gone through the car with new plugs/rotor/cap/wires, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulley... The car drives fine. What is the opinion on replacing the ignition coil as a purely preventive maintenance issue? When I drove beastly ameri...

Needed a jump start
David After a prolonged period of running the starter and with the aid of cables the car started. I am surprised the battery did not have enough reserve to start the car. Perhaps I am in need of a new battery? I am grateful for your quick replys and advice. I will update if the Check Engine light co...

Worse off- now car won't start
This morning I had the quick plan to do as suggested- swap out the coils for the 1 and 2 cylinders; did it in a few minutes, however the car now does not want to start. The starter turns but the cylinders wont fire. > I replaced the coils as they were originally, and still a no start. I checked all ...

p0350 and p0351 DTC 2000 Volvo V70 HELP! V70 2000
Hello all While driving with my kids over the holiday in our 2000 V70 (older body style, 128,000 miles) and over 100 miles away from home my check engine light went on. The car drove well, without any problems. The next day the check engine light went off, and we subsequently returned home without p...
