Just received word that my V70 has a cracked block :o 8) :cry: :roll: .

Has nearly new Michelin tires, xnsmission replaced, w/ software upgrade, two-three years ago.

As I'm on a (low!) fixed income, need to know how much to ask for this 23 yr. Old pita.

No other probs cept front passenger door ...

Dashboard message: "Passenger Door Open"; but it's not... interior courtesy lights will not shut off, draining battery.

Any advice or tips on how to troubleshoot greatly appreciated

Recent purchase. Sun roof is closed but won't operate. Sun shade will not close. Need advice on diagnosing/disassembly/repair.

Doesn't seem to be anything to do with the alarm. Alarm is functioning, wife accidentally set it off a few days ago.

Bosch plugs and Bosch coil. Coils in the car appear to be original.

Bought first coil from rock auto. Wife bought the second coil from autozone.

Scrupulously cleaned ground. Car has 250k miles.

:o New to this forum and new to Volvo' s as well.

Actually I've had some experience with older Volvos; good friend had a couple P1800s, I owned an early 70s(?) 211 and later an eighties 4 door.

If I remember right I think the 211 had twin carbs that needed balancing every so often.

I digress ...
