Re: 2008 S60 2.5T, Misfires on cylinders 1 and 3
Bad news. I did some more testing today with different tools. I may have gotten my numbers mixed up or something, but cylinder 3 indeed has no compression. 0, zilch. That explains most of the issues I was facing. So now I'm moving forward with replacing the cylinder head. Can anyone tell me what cyl...

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T, Misfires on cylinders 1 and 3
I did all of these tests with the coils and ground points bolted tight to the cam cover. I was hoping that it would be just a ground problem when I bought the car but despite the insulation cracking and coming off, the ground is fine.

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T, Misfires on cylinders 1 and 3
I used this doc (https://www.davebarton.com/pdf/5CylinderCoilRepairHarnessGuide.pdf) to double check that my wiring was all good. All of the coils are plugged into the correct plug. When cleaning the injectors I mixed them all up and put them back in randomly. Although I suppose there is a chance, I...

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T, Misfires on cylinders 1 and 3
I just went out and re-read the codes. Here's a screencap (https://imgur.com/a/NtTwmOF) P0303-cylinder 3, misfire detected P0301-cylinder 1, misfire detected P0300- random/multiple cylinders, misfire detected. Those 3, repeated twice. I have 2 coils that I bought for testing, 1 volvo OEM coil and 1 ...

2008 S60 2.5T, Misfires on cylinders 1 and 3
I bought a Volvo s60 not too long ago from facebook marketplace. The original owner said that a spark plug popped out of the center cylinder while on the highway. After a helicoil and a new coil pack the engine still isn;t running right. Here's what I've done so far. -tested wiring going to all coil...

Re: Head gasket job, worth it?
You will not crack the block on an overheat. The head will let go and destress the engine before that happens. What about the possibility of a spun bearing? any way to tell without tearing down the block? I plan on draining the oil to check for sparkly bits when I get a chance to. Take a listen to ...

Head gasket job, worth it?
I own a 1996 850 Platinum. To make a long story short, I blew a coolant line on the highway, and I must have overheated the engine before I had a chance to pull over, because the head gasket is right fucked, unburned gasoline coming out of the coolant overflow tank. It has me worried that it might b...

Re: Volvo 850 Turbo radiator mounts
I've already made my own mount for it out of some Home Depot hardware. I cut the sides off of as large flange washer so there's plenty of surface area holding onto the rad mount. double nutted on so it doesn't shake loose and whatnot. The mounts are all there, just missing the rubber bushings and th...

Volvo 850 Turbo radiator mounts
Somehow I didn't notice that the radiator on my recently bought Volvo 850 was held up by zip ties on one side. They recently broke and I'd like to do this properly. I've looked around a bit, where can I find the rubber bushing that goes in the hole in the radiator mount? is it ok/safe to mount it so...

Re: '96 850 Turbo running odd after curb bump
Thanks for the quick reply. I might be out of my element here, but would something like that be possible to fix with tape or JB weld? Does it need to be airtitght once fixed?
