[quote=C1ph3r post_id=594635 time=1645295874 user_id=112330] Thanks everyone. I’ll get on all those recommendations as funds allow. I have very quickly exceeded my budget for repairs when I started down this rabbit hole. So now I’m really have to pick and choo...

Re: 1998 V70XC Door Vinyl Removal and Refit Part 2
Oh my foam is trashed so I’m using what came from redline. And thanks for the tips. I wouldn’t have thought about doing the inside of the cups then the walls as 2 steps to prevent tension. I’m probably going to use my steamer and steam the leather a little to get the shipping wrinkles out. This is m...

Re: 1998 V70XC Door Vinyl Removal and Refit Part 2
I can give some maybe helpful info, I did a similar project but used new leather inserts from redline goods. I tried using 3M headliner adhesive, which has a lot of tack, but takes too long to get a good hold when you're trying to keep the leather and foam molded to the door card. For the leather a...

Re: Glue recommendation for door panels?
Thats my concern. And I am also in NC. I looked up some avg interior car temps and compared to what these adhesive can operate at. Couldnt find anything on the Gorilla spray but the construction liquid nails fuze max excides that. I think it will be fine. I have ceramic tinted windows as well so tha...

Re: Glue recommendation for door panels?
Thanks for the tips. Already ordered some 3M hi strength 90 just before I saw your post. I may pick up some of the gorilla also at the local Lowe’s and try on a different door to compare. Doubt I’ll have the car long enough for a real long term test so who knows. Thanks again.

Re: Glue recommendation for door panels?
There are so many kinds of contact adhesives though. I’m thinking of using loctite fuze it max construction adhesive. It has a sustainable very high temperature rating. Should be plenty high enough for a car interior.

Re: 1998 V70XC Door Vinyl Removal and Refit Part 2
I used Elmer's contact glue. But, I am now writing about how it has performed over the past two years. I don't recommend using contact glue. Urethane is what I have switched to. It is far more adhesive, heat resistant and has held fast on my with other projects. I used acetone to clean a prep. The ...

To the OP if you are still on here, how have your choices of glue held up? Both for the fabric and for the door panel clip parts and skin? Also going to comment on your video.

Re: Glue recommendation for door panels?
I know this is a very old thread but I feel it deserves a bump because it was the easiest to find. I am finally, after almost 3 years getting around to fixing my door panels. Got some great leather inserts from Redline Goods a couple years ago and will be doing them soon. The 3M 90 seems to be the e...

Re: Banjo bolt delete?
Awesome. Thanks. Yeah the original kit i used from IPD was total garbage. The way the small vacuum line was connected couldn't have possibly stayed attached before I removed the manifold this time. The new one for sure isnt coming apart.
