OK. I replaced my auto-dim case and glass with the manual case and glass, but kept the original computer. I clipped the two wires and sealed them. Everything works perfectly! Thanks for the help...saved 600 dollars!

OK. I get it...the computer runs the door locks, seat memory, etc. The auto dim is just a small portion of the computer system. I unknowingly was sent the non-auto dim. The seller was glad to make it right, but I'd like to just keep the manual dim. My Volvo has 140K miles and I'd rather not do this ...

The computer looks almost identical except for the two wire leads and zipper. If it's not auto dim, I wonder what the computer is for? The dimming function on my interior, center rear view mirror is broken. It's half dim, half not.

I don't want to replace it with a volvo brand mirror for $700.

Anyone know where I can buy a compatible after market or used dimming mirror?

I'm not familiar with the CEM location and various relays.
I didn't see it in the owner's manual. Would a good maintenance
book like Chiltons have this information?

About once a week, the power locks will not work for a few minutes. When this happens (whether parked or driving), the fuel gauge and trip information section goes dead. After a few minutes, all will work again. Dealer says he can't fix it unless he duplicates the problem...hard to do. Anyone know w...
