Picked up a 2006 XC70 90k. When cold, having intermittent groaning. Been told that it is my strut bushings. In warm weather or after driving a couple of miles it is fine. Car handles great and no clunking, etc.

Been thinking of getting preassembled strut kit, but they seem pricey. Or just getting ...

I am looking to replace the parking brake boot on my 2004 XC70. Everything points me to part# 39871056. Ordered one off of eBay and the one that showed up is way too small. Below is a picture of the boot on my 2006 (same style on our 2004) and what was shipped.

Not sure. I am out of town for a couple of weeks. From shop description they are saying flange on downpipe to flange on turbo exhaust.

Took my 2004 XC70 198k to the shop yesterday. They found an exhaust leak in area where the downpipe meets the turbo mount flange. They suggested that I find a muffler shop that can weld the downpipe flange to the downpipe flange. They said that it has worked well for other customers.

Checked the power steering fluid last night and went to screw the cap back on and it wouldn’t seat. I looked at cap and picture of new one and I could see parts were missing. Got a magnetized screwdriver and fished a spring, a small metal cap, and another cap with flanges out of the reservoir ...

Thank you David. The Z shaped molding practically came off in my hand and had some kinks in it. I used the Permatex in the channel. I am presuming that the molding was old and that the replacement windshield may be thinner. I also ran multiple layers of tape front to back on the bottom side of the ...

There are some excellent videos to troubleshoot and solve. Windshield was replaced a year ago. Leak seemed to develop right afterwards. I have cleared drains. Still leaks. While testing, I have seen water on blower fins. The seal/moulding at the bottom of the windshield doesn’t appear to seal well ...

2004 XC70. Had windshield replaced and the two cowl end caps and sealing foam disintegrated when windshield tech. removed. Had some water dripping on passenger side onto cabin floor before replacement. Tried recommended solutions including flushing roof window front drains.
