Re: Exhaust Leak 2004 XC70

Not sure. I am out of town for a couple of weeks. From shop description they are saying flange on downpipe to flange on turbo exhaust.

Exhaust Leak 2004 XC70

Took my 2004 XC70 198k to the shop yesterday. They found an exhaust leak in area where the downpipe meets the turbo mount flange. They suggested that I find a muffler shop that can weld the downpipe flange to the downpipe flange. They said that it has worked well for other customers. They also said ...

Broken Power Steering Cap? 2004 XC70 Safe To Drive?

Checked the power steering fluid last night and went to screw the cap back on and it wouldn’t seat. I looked at cap and picture of new one and I could see parts were missing. Got a magnetized screwdriver and fished a spring, a small metal cap, and another cap with flanges out of the reservoir. Pictu...

Re: 2004 XC70 Dreaded Passenger Comp. Leak

Thank you David. The Z shaped molding practically came off in my hand and had some kinks in it. I used the Permatex in the channel. I am presuming that the molding was old and that the replacement windshield may be thinner. I also ran multiple layers of tape front to back on the bottom side of the c...

2004 XC70 Dreaded Passenger Comp. Leak

There are some excellent videos to troubleshoot and solve. Windshield was replaced a year ago. Leak seemed to develop right afterwards. I have cleared drains. Still leaks. While testing, I have seen water on blower fins. The seal/moulding at the bottom of the windshield doesn’t appear to seal well. ...

Re: 2004 Volvo XC70 Door Actuators Replacement?

Great information. Thank you. It looks like there may be some options for when I order replacement actuators. Power Child Safety and Deadlock. Do you know if the connectors on the actuators is common on the options (realizing that it would just have more or less wires) or is it a different connector...

2004 Volvo XC70 Door Actuators Replacement?

Volvo 2004 XC70 replacing front / rear passenger door lock actuators? Just picked up our 11th Volvo. This one for our soon to be 16-year old grandson. Both locks will make a buzzing / grinding noise when trying to lock or unlock with remote. And not working. I am presuming that plastic gears inside ...

2006 XC70 Vibration In Reverse?

Just picked up our 6th. XC70, 10th. Volvo. When put into Reverse, with foot on brake, there is a noticeable vibration throughout the car. Smooth as silk in Drive. Previous owner was told that it was probably a motor mount.

I would appreciate any ideas. If it is a motor mount, which one?
