Re: 2001 V70 2.4T ATF simple Drain and Fill...
Great information on how to do the drain & fill. Thanks to all!!! Quick question: I've read in other parts of this forum that the Volvo dealer must reset the transmission after changing the trans oil so the trans knows there's new oil. It was mentioned specifically in a thread for 2001 Volvo's. ...

Re: UEM-000A Fault Code & xeMODex.com
Initial read there were 10 CEM and 4 UEM codes, however, the only code that returned after clearing was UEM-0004 - motion sensor.

Re: Rear View Mirrow - Correct Part Number
Hi JRL I believed that too until a Volvo Tech referred me to a "Programming Transfer Service" provided by www.xeMODex.com - located in Canada and has local repair shops that are qualified by xeMODex.com. The service includes transferring the data contained on the existing UEM to a used rep...

Rear View Mirrow - Correct Part Number
Hi all, I'm planning on purchasing a used rear view mirror to replace a failed UEM, however, I'm unsure which part numbers to find an exact matching mirror. I find part numbers located on the back of the mirror case and more under the removable cover on the back. Which is the correct part number - t...

UEM-000A Fault Code & xeMODex.com
Any insight or feedback would be appreciated. Took my 2001 V70 T5 into shop to have codes read to determine what was causing the central lock system, sunroof, map lights and alarm not to work. While they found several codes from the CEM and UEM they all cleared EXCEPT for UEM - 000A - Motion Sensor ...

Re: 2001 V70 - Sunroof, Maplights & Alarm Not Working
DGM - Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and still nothing! I'm taking it to a local mechanic, who only works on Volvos, to see what codes he finds. I suspect it's the alarm siren module. I'll provide an update later this week.
Thanks again, Denys

Re: S80 2001 Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror Repair How To (lon
I've been reading this complete thread with MUCH interest...however, for a different reason. My 2001 V70 T5 has the lava mirror issue, but also the central door lock, sunroof, map lights, alarm and seat belt reminder do not work. As I understand it the UEM or Alarm Module could be bad. I've tried th...

Re: 2001 V70 - Sunroof, Maplights & Alarm Not Working
Hi all, I have same question: How can I make sure it is not a faulty UEM or Alarm Module? In my case I have no messages for the UEM, alarm or anything else. The sunroof, map lights, alarm and door locks do not work. I did do the seat belt check to see if the seat belt reminder worked when I started ...

Re: Front Engine Mount - Broken or Not?
Thanks for the excellent replies and guidance. - Engine Mounts - I have not noticed any leaking, however, the vibration occurs at idle, low and high speed. If I put it in neutral the virbration disppears and varies in intensity depending on engine speed. This would indicate to me a different mount w...

Front Engine Mount - Broken or Not?
Hi all, I have little experience with engine mounts. Below is a photo of the front mount on my 2000 Volvo V70 GLE Turbo - 148K miles. It distinctly shows a separation of the rubber from the metal parts, thus, I've concluded this is what is causing the virbration. I've been getting a vibration at idl...
