which is easier to replace spindle or bearing
I have a noisy wheel bearing. No slack at the wheel - it's tight both ways, but the thrumming noise is getting to be a bit much. I don't have a bearing R&R kit, but I think I can borrow one from Autozone, if the have the right kit. And I think that is the hang up - some kits won't fit underneath ...

Left front noise -- Wheel bearing or CV joints?
Originally I thought I had a L front bearing going out on me - noise that a friend described as "thrumming".. Rhythmic, and being louder when the car starts moving after sitting all night. But after maybe 10 minutes of driving, the sound quiets down a bit - still there but not so loud. The...

front L wheel bearing
I need to replace the front Left wheel bearing on my 2014 FWD s60. I see two ways of doing it - replace bearing only (I can get a puller / press kit), or replace the hub assembly..
It seems way less disassembly just replacing the bearing..
Which way would you recommend?

Re: oil consumption
so are you saying that, if I switch to Rotella T6 15W40, I will have less oil consumption?
At 101K, should I call the dealer about the defect repairs - re- ringing?
Thanks

oil consumption
2014 s60 T5, about 2 1/2 quarts for 6K miles, using Wal Mart Supertech high mileage 5w / 30 all synthetic.. 101K miles..
Is this normal? Is it the oil itself?
