This could be worn tie rods. I just had the same problem including the tire wear. The clunking could be a drop link [easy fix] or sway bar bushing [not so easy]. OK, I changed the evaporator and receiver/drier and replaced the O rings. Buttoned everything up and aside from some minor problems with the drivers side control [cable broke] and recirc actuator arm broken [replaced] the ac is nice and cold. I used the 850 proceedure along with the guide in picture...

Unrelated...I am planning a drain and fill for my tranny. I will check my OM but do you know which fluid the 98 v70 uses?

I have a 98 V70. The evaporator is shot. I have ordered the evaporator, drier/receiver and all of the o rings for the conncections. Also the 2 seals that FCP show on their site and the 2 seals eeuroparts have on their site.

Do I need anything else for this job???
